In a dramatic ending at the ballpark the Dart Weasels won in their last at-bat
beating the Dublin Pubcrawlers by the count of 7 to 5.
Dart had the winning rally in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs utilizing 2 base
hits. Pat Burrell opened up the inning nicely when he slapped a base-hit.
Aaron Miles stepped into the batter's box and he cleared the fences for a
two-run home run (his 4th of the season) giving Dart the victory and sending
the 20,199 home-town fans home happy. The game was a wild affair with the
lead changing hands 5 times.
Gary Knotts(5-2) went 4 and 2/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Jim
Brower(0-2) was the loser in relief. He pitched 1 and 2/3 innings allowing 2
hits and no walks.
Dart now has a record of 46-53. With the loss Dublin now has a record of
44-55.
